Secure and Scalable Machine Learning Systems Symposium
9 February 2026School of Information Science and Technology (IST) organized The 2nd IST Reinventing University Symposium under the theme “Secure and Scalable Machine Learning Systems Symposium”. The event was held at the Passion Room (4th Floor), CAREER@SCB (RCP), Siam Commercial Bank, Bangkok, with 51 participants in attendance. The symposium brought together 12 invited speakers from academia and industry to share insights, experiences, and best practices in designing, training, evaluating, and deploying machine learning systems at scale. Discussions focused on key system-level challenges, including scalability, security, robustness, data governance, and evaluation frameworks, lighting practical engineering approaches for building reliable large-scale ML systems across distributed infrastructure, multilingual and multimodal model training, privacy and security, and automated testing. School of Information Science and Technology: Physical Artificial Intelligence and Robotics
10-11 February 2026School of Information Science and Technology (IST) organized The 2nd International Symposium on Physical Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (IS-PAIR) under the themes “Robotics and AI Technology towards Good Health and Well-being” and “Human-centred AI and Robotics for Assistive and Rehabilitative Technology towards Good Health and Well-being (HEART)” at SCB Park Plaza, Siam Commercial Bank, Bangkok. The symposium featured speakers from leading academic and industrial partners, including the University of Bristol (UK), London South Bank University (UK), Aix-Marseille University (France), FIBO (Thailand), King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (Thailand), Mahidol University (Thailand), Rangsit University (Thailand), and BDMS Group (Thailand). In addition, students from high school to university levels participated in paper and poster competitions, promoting engagement and knowledge exchange in robotics and AI for healthcare and well-being.Posted on 7 April 2026
VISTEC Open House 2026.
On 31 January 2026, VISTEC organized and hosted VISTEC Open House 2026, an event designed for prospective students interested in pursuing master’s and doctoral degree programs at the Institute. Participants were divided into two groups: registered participants (151 people: 130 Thai and 21 International) and a group from Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), about 90 people. Both groups attended a VISTEC overview session delivered by Prof. Dr. Pimchai Chaiyen (President of VISTEC), followed by presentations from the school directors, who introduced potential supervisors, academic programs, awards, and examples of graduates who have pursued careers across a wide range of professions. Following the presentations, participants joined campus and school tours, where they received in-depth information on ongoing research projects within individual laboratories. The sessions provided opportunities for close interaction with faculty members of interest as well as current students and highly qualified researchers. The event was conducted successfully and participants departed with a positive impression of the institute.Posted on 27 February 2026
