Researchers and Inventors from the Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology Received Awards from the National Research Council of Thailand

During the “Thailand Inventors’ Day 2023” organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) from 2-6 February, VISTEC won awards on research and inventions in the research category, the work on “Mechanistic Studies and Rational Engineering for Increasing Catalytic Capability of Flavin-Dependent Halogenase” by Professor Dr. Pimchai Chaiyen and her research team won a prize at the competition.

In the invention category, VISTEC received two awards:

1. The invention of “Biocatalyst for the Conversion of Phenolic Compounds to Valuable Chemicals and Pesticide Detection Technology” by Professor Dr. Pimchai Chaiyen and her inventor team.

2. The invention of “18650 Cylindrical Li-Ion Batteries Cells Using NMC Core@Shell Structure Tetra-Materials.” by Associate Professor Dr. Montree Sawangphruk and his inventor team.
