VISTEC Welcomes New Students and Fosters Student Engagement

On 15 August 2024, VISTEC is delighted to welcome its incoming student cohort. VISTEC hosted a comprehensive orientation program designed to introduce new students to the institute's vibrant academic community, research focus, and student support services.

The program commenced with opening remarks delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khamphee Phomphrai, Director of the School of Molecular Science and Engineering (MSE).  Prof. Khamphee extended a warm welcome on behalf of the President, Vice President for Administration, and all VISTEC members. Representatives from various departments also greeted the new students and provided critical information and services, ensuring a smooth transition into VISTEC life.

A Town Hall meeting was held as part of the program, providing a valuable platform to address previously raised concerns by students and foster an open dialogue. This forum allows current students to share feedback and contribute to a continuously improving campus environment.

VISTEC was honored to host Dr. Visit Thaveeprungsriporn, CEO of Skai Med (Thailand), who delivered a captivating "Visionary Talk."  Dr. Visit’s presentation titled "From Nuclear Engineering to Corporate/Startup Innovator: A Career Evolution in Technology & Entrepreneurship" inspired new students and broadened their understanding of the diverse career paths open to graduates with a strong scientific background.

The program concluded with a lively "Happy Hours Party" followed by an impressive mini-concert by talented members of the VISTEC Music Club. These social events provided a welcoming atmosphere for new and current students to connect, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

VISTEC sincerely appreciates all new and current students who participated in the orientation program. VISTEC is confident that its supportive and stimulating environment will empower students to excel in their academic pursuits.  Whether your program takes 2, 3, or 5 years, VISTEC is here to guide you on your path to research excellence.
