About Us

VISTEC is a privately funded research institute dedicated to fostering innovation and research excellence. The School of Information Science and Technology (IST) was established in 2017 with the vision of leading advancements in intelligent systems, automation, and machine intelligence.

We are expanding our faculty to support the Sense-Think-Act initiative, which focuses on the next generation of AI-driven systems capable of perceiving their environment, reasoning effectively, and acting autonomously. We seek faculty members from diverse fields, including Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Robotics, and Biomedical Engineering, to drive innovation in AI, robotics, and intelligent systems.

Position Responsibilities
Successful candidates will:

• Supervise and mentor research students, fostering their growth as independent researchers. 
• Conduct high-impact research and collaborate with both academia and industry. 
• Contribute to the Sense-Think-Act initiative (Agentic AI System), shaping the future of intelligent AI-driven systems. 
• Teach graduate-level courses aligned with their expertise. 
• Play an active role in IST’s research and academic community.

Candidate Requirements

We welcome applicants who hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Robotics, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields and are excited to contribute to advancing AI and intelligent systems.

We seek faculty members who aspire to publish at the highest level and are willing to invest time and energy into impactful research. We value potential, dedication, and the drive to push boundaries in your field.

Candidates with postdoctoral or faculty experience will be given preference.

VISTEC is seeking an outstanding and highly motivated Faculty Member with a strong background in Chemical Engineering, particularly in areas at the interface of chemical processes, energy technologies, and sustainability.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop an internationally recognized research program, contribute to graduate teaching and student supervision, and establish strong collaborations with academic and industrial partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality research and develop innovative technologies.
• Establish an independent and internationally competitive research program.
• Teach and supervise graduate students.
• Secure external research funding and develop collaborations with industry and other partners.
• Contribute to technology development, innovation, and the practical application of research.
• Participate in academic, institutional, and community-related activities.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Chemical Technology, or a closely related field.
• 0–5 years of relevant experience; postdoctoral or industrial research experience is an advantage.

• Strong academic and research record with publications in high-impact international peer-reviewed journals. 

• Demonstrated potential to develop an independent and high-impact research program.
• Strong potential for interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Priority will be given to candidates whose expertise complements VISTEC's existing research strengths and demonstrates strong potential for high-impact research, external funding, technology development, and industry collaboration.
